Buying Guides
Buying a home in Marbella from abroad: how NYLIA helps
Plan a focused property search with Nina and Louis, from your first conversation to shortlisting and viewings on the Costa del Sol.
Start with a written buyer brief
Tell us how you plan to use the home, your total budget, timing and the things you cannot compromise on. Include mobility needs, parking, outdoor space and the journeys you expect to make. Nina and Louis help you narrow down areas before comparing individual properties. You can speak with us in English, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish or French.
Build a shortlist before booking travel
We search available listings and our agency network, check availability and discuss why a home may suit your brief. Send us links you have found elsewhere so we can check references and avoid duplicate viewings. Asking prices, photographs and availability can change; a shortlist is a starting point, not a reservation.
Agree what a remote viewing needs to show
If you need to assess a home before travelling, ask us about the viewing options available for that property. Agree access and permission for any video in advance. Request a continuous walkthrough, the approach to the building, terrace outlook and any visible concerns. A video cannot establish structural condition, legal status, winter comfort or what the street sounds like at other times.
Make the most of an in-person visit
Once access is confirmed, we coordinate appointments and a practical route. Allow time to explore the neighbourhood and revisit the strongest options. Your independent lawyer checks documents and contracts; a qualified surveyor assesses condition. If you cannot attend signing, ask your lawyer and notary whether a suitable power of attorney is possible and what formalities apply.
Your next step
Send us your preferred areas, approximate budget and possible travel dates. We will discuss a realistic search and viewing plan with you. Never transfer a reservation payment on the strength of a video alone; have your independent lawyer review the proposed terms and payment arrangements first.
